I backed way off this week – a little more than I hoped or needed. Still, it was probably a good thing in the long run. Absorb the äbig week’ and get bcak at it. After taking three days off I resumed training with a run of nearly one hour. It was -12 and I was underdressed so the cold got to me. After 40 minutes my pace dropped way off and HR and RPE remained the same – I don’t think it is a fitness issue. I’m putting it down to the cold.
Monday I was pressed for time so I did a quick 40 minutes on the trainer. I did the 5×5:2 set and must say that I attacked it pretty honestly. The rest most deffinitely helped me there. As an experiment I decided to do a few two handed Kettlebell swings as a warm up – I think it helped quite a bit and I’ll incorporate 5-10 minutes KB warmup in future.
Tomorrow will be a double day if I get the chance.
